On October 30, 2006, Hierocast (Hieroglyphics' official podcast), Del tha Funkee Homosapien reported that the Souls of Mischief were working on their next studio album with Prince Paul.
In January 2009 Souls of Mischief released the "Tour Stories" EP produced by Domino and co-produced by Prince Paul. The song is taken from the forthcoming album, Montezuma's Revengeon Hieroglyphics Imperium.

While the battle between Afeni Shakur’s Amaru Entertainment and film company Morgan Creek Productions rages on over the making of a bio-pic about rapper Tupac Shakur.
The two companies are locked in litigation over a movie on the life of Tupac Shakur. In a lawsuit filed last February, Morgan Creek accused Amaru of breaching a contract to produce a movie about Shakur, who was gunned down on the Las Vegas strip in September of 1996.
Basically Morgan Creek Entertainment sued Amaru Entertainment (Tupac’s estate controlled by his mother) that Amaru backed out of a deal to produce a Tupac biopic. Amaru then fired back in court stating that Morgan Creek sabotaged their efforts to pitch the movie to any other studios or production companies. Amaru filed a cross-complaint against Morgan Creek, claiming the production company interfered with other potential deals for the movie. Lawyers claim that Morgan Creek attempted to block other interested film companies from being involved in the film, by claiming to have exclusive rights to produce the untitled flick.
Skip Miller of Miller Barondess, LLP in Los Angeles, attorney for Amaru Entertainment, said “We are pleased with the court’s ruling yesterday morning. It supports our claim that Morgan Creek tortiously interfered with the making of the Tupac Shakur movie. I look forward to trying this case and have the jury decide the matter. Morgan Creek has a history of bullying people into giving them rights they did not acquire. This time, they picked on the wrong people.”.

In recent days there have been reports on news channels and various web sites about a lawsuit filed against Amaru Entertainment over the rights to the movie biography of iconic hip hop figure, entertainer and activist Tupac Shakur (2Pac).
Amaru Entertainment has released a statement to clarify this situation. Official Statement by Amaru Entertainment Regarding the Morgan Creek Lawsuit:
We at Amaru Entertainment would like to clarify some of the recent media reports concerning a lawsuit filed by Morgan Creek Productions. This lawsuit has no merit. We felt it was important to bring the story of Tupac Shakur (2Pac), one of music's most remarkable icons, to life onscreen and, in realizing this vision, we sought to find the best partner who would be true to Tupac's vision and bring his unique story to life on the big screen.
In doing so, we have taken every step to ensure that our partner in this process is committed to the integrity of Tupac Shakur's legacy and, more importantly, that they are the right people. To that end, we have been in discussions and negotiations with several major studios and production companies, including Morgan Creek Productions. However, at no time did we have an agreement with Morgan Creek.
Sadly, Morgan Creek decided to take advantage of this situation and attempt to frustrate our project by interfering with our business relationships. We will not be frightened by Morgan Creek's tactics and we are absolutely confident that the movie will be produced and released. Tupac's story is what Hollywood legends are made of - and we want to make sure that the movie tells Tupac's story like it should be told and lives up to everyone's expectations.
"Tupac touched so many people in his brief life and it makes me feel honored in keeping his message alive. And I want to do so with integrity - in the right way with the right people," says Afeni Shakur. "That's what Tupac would have wanted."
